Delightful little place with whimsical decor, friendly staff, great food. There is usually a queue outside but the turnaround can be pretty quick, especially for a table for two. Previously tried the Japanese Breakfast Platter, which was a delightful assortment of little bites. This was insanely popular and was sold out by the time we got there at 12:40pm. The beef teritama don was flavourful and felt so healthy with brown rice. The plate was massive but managed to polish it off. Karaage from the fried chicken set was succulent inside and nicely crispy on the outside, also served with brown rice and salad. Plenty of cafe fare drinks to pick from, and definitely leave some room for the cakes.

The food is simple but bursting with flavor, and it leaves me feeling light and energized! The hojicha latte was a bit sweet, will defo come back to try other foods! xx

Best katsu curry I’ve had in Melbourne. Less on the authentic side as they use brown rice but a hearty meal indeed. Still my favourite curry, really cool ambience. Small store but delicious.

Kuu is an amazing place for food or drinks at any time of day and any price point. Full blow japanese breakfast? Amazing. Workday lunch or snack? Brilliant. They have it all, and it looks as good as it tastes!
