A cute cafe with a cozy vibe and delicious brunch options. The food was not only tasty but also beautifully presented. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a lovely meal! Generous serving sizes as well.

I normally have a big breakfast on Saturday morning, and I tried this place for the first time. Definitely recommend you to visit here. Staff members are friendly with good smiles and know what they are doing in a really good way. I had chili scrambled eggs, and I would try again for the next visit. Good portion and good taste.

Nestled on a leafy street corner in Prahran, Tall Timber Cafe feels like a sanctuary in the midst of Melbourne’s usual bustle. Step inside, and you’re greeted by warm, natural light pouring through wide windows, bouncing off whitewashed walls and timber finishes. It’s got that minimalist, chic vibe that Melbourne cafes do so well—unpretentious yet clearly thought-out. The menu is a delight for those who enjoy a twist on the classics. You might start with their signature smashed avocado, a Melbourne staple, but Tall Timber gives it a lift with tangy feta, a soft-boiled egg, and a sprinkle of dukkah. It’s hearty, filling, and tastes like the sort of thing you’d make at home if you had endless time and fresh ingredients on hand. For those wanting something less familiar, try the beetroot-cured salmon with poached eggs, fresh herbs, and a zesty dill yoghurt. It’s refreshing, light, and surprisingly filling. Every bite has that balanced mix of textures—soft, creamy, and crisp. Coffee is, of course, taken seriously here. You can choose from a range of beans, sourced from local roasters, with options for cold brews, pour-overs, and your standard flat whites. The baristas know their stuff, and you’ll catch the scent of freshly ground coffee lingering long after you’ve left. Service at Tall Timber is efficient, but never rushed. The staff are laid-back, quick to share recommendations, and seem to genuinely enjoy being there. It’s refreshing to be in a spot where everything feels so relaxed yet operates like a well-oiled machine. Overall, Tall Timber Cafe doesn’t try to impress with extravagance. It knows what it’s good at—delicious, straightforward food, quality coffee, and a space that feels welcoming. Whether you’re a local looking for a regular spot or just passing through, it’s worth sitting down and letting time slow for a bit.
