Pellegrini's Espresso Bar

A local friend recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Don't expect a classic service, expect a rushed Italian service. Head to the bar, order, enjoy and pay. No questions, no chitchat, just enjoy the food. The pasta was very well cooked, not too greasy or heavy. Tiramisu was perfect, not too sweet and matched perfectly with an espresso.

One of the most iconic destination cafes in Melbourne. Established in the 50’s this place is rich history and fine food. It gives you that nostalgic atmosphere which makes you feel like you’re back in the younger years of Pellegrini’s. Their food, simple but rich in flavour! We had the Carbonara and Aglio E Olio which is highly recommended! Watermelon granita very refreshing drink! For dessert we had tiramisu and apple strudel (takeaway). Lastly, espresso which is a great way to finish your meal. The staff they are very attentive, accommodating and happy to help you with their recommendations. 💯💯💯💯💯

Visited Melbourne's oldest Italian bar during lunchtime and found it bustling with activity. The menu offered a variety of well-presented, flavorful dishes. The long black, made with Vittoria coffee, was excellent. A great spot for authentic Italian flavors and a lively atmosphere!
