I ordered 2 white coffee (as they suggested they provided only 1 type white coffee: latte, flat white are the same for this place) and I choose 2 different beans. I prefer Ethiopia one cuz it taste floral and neutral in taste. I feel Guatemala one was a bit sour and strong coffee taste. Good quality coffee and quick service

Between some concrete jungle in Melbourne's CBD, you'll find an old run-of-the-mill building tucked behind an unassuming but a local favorite barbershop in a narrow alleyway. Inside lies Melbourne's beloved Patricia Coffee Brewers, an iconic coffee shop for good reason. It feels like a classic Italian espresso bar infused with Melbourne's modern specialty coffee culture, complete with an actual daily newspaper clipboard, neon lighting, and a rustic, old-world interior. Everyone has to stand in its limited indoor space, but the outdoor area offers plenty of makeshift stools where you'll find most of the patrons socializing and enjoying their cuppa. As for the coffee itself, it was technically flawless. The extraction was perfect, and the thickness was just right, but the flavor and intended notes didn’t quite come through for me. Nevertheless, the charm, aesthetic, and overall vibe of this coffee shop truly set it apart, making it well worth a visit.

Despite the queues, the staff were all very efficient and moving people and coffee through quickly. Coffee flavour was a really nice, balanced flavour. Downside was my 'long' black being basically a few mouthfuls, with the cups not even being half full when we opened them (and they're not particularly large cups to begin with). Felt like they forget to add the hot water.

I was told that Melbourne is a snob town for coffee and Patricia Coffee Brewers was voted the best in Melbourne. We definitely enjoyed it. The vibe is trendy and the menu is simple: black, white, and filter. The very personal service is what makes this place so very special.

Pretty crowded, but queue moved quickly and service was great. Seemed to be popular with both locals and foreigners. There were 4 pieces of pastries left when I got there around 12.30pm. Better be early, or it'll just be coffee. Which is delicious, of course; the crowd says it all.
