Roccella Italian Restaurant East Melbourne

Came here for team lunch with 10 people. This place was chosen by an Italian native who said this is one of the few places in Melbourne he eats. We got a mixture of dishes, half the team had pizza, other had individual dishes. We shared entrees. The food is great, The duck ravioli is a must try very good. Great service, didn’t wait long for food. However waited 10 minutes to pay and they forgot two meals but we were compensated. Otherwise Comfy atmosphere. 10/10 will eat here again.

Amazing service from our waiter Benjie throughout the night - helpful, attentive and friendly. We all had incredible pasta dishes (including one of our group who was gluten free) - great tasting! And desserts were enormous and delicious.

Had our lunch here today, and the overlap experience is very comfortable and pleasant. The food was served very quickly and was really good! Though I find the pasta slightly on the saltier side. The staff were very friendly too and any additional requests were attended to very quickly (probably it's non peak).

Great to find a place with good street parking near the city. This is a traditional Italian restaurant. It was buzzing. It had a good energy. The food and wine was really good and the serve size was good. Most of the wines are Italian. I got the seafood pasta and the pasta tasted home made. It was a Friday night and it was so busy and they even gave us a free desert plate to share as they felt their service was slower than usual. I must admit the Italian donuts drizzled in a caramel sauce were the best I have ever tasted in my life.

We went at Roccella for celebrating my husband’s birthday and was the first time we headed out to this beautiful place. We really enjoyed the food and the service. We indulged in their famous pizza with customised base and delicious options. Moreover, the atmosphere is so nice and warm and it is located opposite of Fitzroy Garden…perfect for an after lunch/dinner walk! We definitely come back soon! Laura
