Been here a couple times, both of them were great. Good food, coffee, and service. Plus it's not really noisy sitting outside. I appreciated that the mango banana smoothie wasn't too sweet. The cauliflower also salad came w a generous serve of chicken. Recently, I tried the smashed avo (pictured) and there was an excellent amount of avocado. With so many enticing things on the menu, I'll keep coming back to work my way through the rest 🙂

5⭐️! Great quality food that feels healthy and fresh. You can tell it's made with the passion of a foodie, not just produced like a bulk commercial product, their meals have soul. Consistent quality, and outstanding customer service. Chai was very nice with a load of real spices in the pot 👌. Coffee was excellent. They seem to have selected a unique premium roasted bean. Perfect spot to bring your dog. I recommend the baked eggs in tomato with chirizo and beans, add hashbrows.

Sometimes art that is ephemeral is more important than things we can experience more than once. Food takes this spot but can also be placed in front of you more than once. Making the experience at Dirty Apron one of my favorites as I travel through Melbourne. This is just such a lovely space with a team of people that genuinely care about the environment they are creating. Homely, comfortable, familiar but still exciting. I literally had to shove my face through the service window to tell the chef how impressed I was that everything she made glowed with a sense of pride and elegance. Serious hats off to this place and it's staff. They set a bar and exceed it on a daily basis. My only criticism comes from a lack of information on my part. That being that the art on the walls seemed slightly dated.. but it's such a small and largely irrelevant concern. My hope is that they exhibit locals and change the work seasonally to create newness for both the locals and staff. That asside an absolute tour deforce of what Melbourne already does well at an affordable price. I will be back.
