Rathdowne & Reeves Cafe

Homely and exquisite! This is my favourite place to come for coffee and brunch. While the ambiance and cullinary service is second to none, what I find most appealing about the cafe is the personalised flair both Damian and Trina give to the experience. DELICIOUS food, like omfg!!! i am NOT exaggerating when i say the baked beans here are the best i’ve ever had at a cafe. most housemade beans at cafes taste similar to each other, but the beans at Rathdowne & Reeves have a great kick to them & are full of flavour in a rich tomato sauce. i suspect it’s from a chipotle paste??? either way, a MUST order! i regret not getting the full baked beans option! i ordered it as a side on my usual cafe order, which is poached eggs on toast + a side of mushrooms and spinach - which ticked all boxes as well! i also stole some chips from my friend’s steak sandwich order (she loved it!) and OMG, loved that they were seasoned with chicken salt & perfectly crispy even as they went a little cold the longer we ate!!! also, wonderful & thoughtful service. you can tell the owners take pride in their cafe & have honed their craft over the years! please visit this lovely cafe and experience it for yourself ✨

Trina and family have turned this into a wonderful place to enjoy breakast and lunch. The menu caters for a variety of tastes, with lots of gluten free options. Plenty of drink choices, excellent coffee. The service is fast, the staff are friendly, courteous and skilled. Enjoy also Trina's collection of indoor collection plants. Best cafe in Rathdowne Street.

The food is heavenly, the atmosphere is beautiful and the staff are top notch! It feels like outside in the building! They've got great chef's specials to keep things interesting as well. And the coffee, leave the best for last. Well rounded and rich with just the right acidity levels. The presentation of everything really puts the cherry on top. Highly recommend!

I had a latte which which was handcrafted to perfection and the Indian scrambled eggs were absolutely out of this world. Flavours that I'd never experienced before. The owners were so friendly and genuinely care for their customers.
